EDM comes either as a freeware, with a limit of about 100 visitors per day, or a shareware with a 21 days trial period (no quota on visitors). EDM is a very flexible and fast interactive log analyzer. In addition to several predefined columns in each report, you can add up to 10 columns of your choice in most of EDM's reports. You define the target, the operand, the column header and within a few seconds the result is available as a percentage. Combined with a broad range of filters, this gives you a powerful tool to extract almost any information that you want. Unlike many other log analysers, Expert Data Miner supports databases: You can create monthly or yearly projects and process fresh new logs every day without creating a new project. In the cumulative mode, EDM will upgrade your previous results. Should you need to perform quick tests and isolate some scenarios with a combination of customized columns and filters, you can also use a non cumulative project. In most reports EDM allows you to decide if you wish to count spiders or just to focus on human visitors. You cn also retrieve the user path (navigation path) of any user from five reports. If you wish to get a software which focus especially on Entry Pages, search engines and other referrers, you will be delighted by EDM: More than one third of the reports in the software are dealing with such issues.
